Which word does not have the requested meaning?
Each question mixes three real words with one invented choice. Select the invention rather than simply the word you do not recognise. The solo mode draws a ten-question session from a pool of 500 questions.
Online, players choose real words and create plausible alternatives for each other. Join a random match or invite someone with a room code, then compare correct answers over five rounds.
Online timing and controls
You have 45 seconds to compose and 30 seconds to answer the other player’s question. Inventions may contain up to 30 characters. An empty composition is generated automatically; an unanswered question scores zero.
Click or tap an answer. In the solo quiz, keys 1–4 select a choice and Enter continues. The “alphabet only, no English” setting changes the script mix so you can focus on spellings.
Sources and the scope of an invented word
The game credits TUFS Basic Vocabulary Wordnets as the basis of its selected and adjusted vocabulary, with source and licence links in the game. A generated or player-written spelling can still exist in another language or with another meaning.
Use the quiz as a reason to explore unfamiliar words rather than a dictionary proving a spelling does not exist. The answering and composition guide explains a practice routine for both roles.
